How My Photography Keeps me Healthy and Happy

I started my wildlife photography journey since January 2020. At first with beginner's photography gear like a Canon 600d with 70-300mm telephoto lens to capture the beauty of birds only. Birds with colorful feather, their flying style and their feeding habits attract me so much. I was very fond of freeze the moments of bird's fabulous activities.

To capture the birds photos I have to walk on my foot quite a long distance even run behind the bird. Basically I am a 9-5 desk job holder in banking industry. This walking opportunity at weekends keeps my body more fit. This maneuver with birds helps me to be exposed under the Sun. My skin become Sun-tanned. We all know that sunlight helps to produce Vitamin-D inside our body. Astonishingly I found that, my colleagues are more vulnerable to seasonal flues and the catch cold frequently. But my body developed resistance against those.

Four Happy Hormones ie. Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphin are directly associated with my photography. After a successful bird walk I feel accomplishment of a nice work that is rewarding to me. This reward feeling increase the secretion of Dopamine Hormone.

The Serotonin the mood stabilizer chemical releases with sun expose, running and being in nature. All these activities done with my wildlife photography. The painkiller hormone Endorphin also releases with exercise or physical activity. Thus my photography helps me to live a healthy and happy life.
